Christmas Time is Here.....

I LOVE, LOVE LOVE, this time of year, but i think it's safe to say that many people feel this way ( at least i hope they do and have reason to.)  One of our traditions when we get our Christmas decorations up is that we all pick one ornament that we like the most that year and choose to hang it on the tree as our "first" ornament for that year.  Below are pictures of everyone's "first" ornament for the 2012 year and a couple more of your tree and our wreath that John so skillfully put together with the clippings from our tree and some ribbons and such i had in a craft tote under my bed.  I think he did a fabulous job and the kids did a marvelous job decorating this years tree.

Funny story for this year already and that is that after we were all done decorating, John and i were upstairs helping the kids get ready for bed, when we heard the most enormous crash!  Yep, you've guessed it, our tree actually toppled over!  I could believe it!  This has, thankfully, never happened before and we're still not quite sure what happened other than our tree (7-8ft) is perhaps a little too big for our tree stand.  Luckily there were only two completely broken ornaments and three damaged ornaments that were brought back to health through some super glue medicine. John had to anchor the tree to the wall with some rope so that we could put it back up.  :-/  I'm sure it will be a funny memory for years to come.

And last, but not least, John's Reef in the Wreath (facebook joke for those of you that saw the posts.  ;-) )

Horses, Trees, and Barns, Oh My!

I love Springfield and all the specimens for me to capture in my photos.  I also love playing around with the editing functions on my computer.  So these pics are a perfect combination of the both.  Just figured it was time to post something even if there's not too much to the writing portion of this post.  Hope you enjoy!
