Not much to write about here. Just took some snapshots of the beautiful scenery that accompanies my walk with Norah each morning. I love this part of town and i love living in Tennessee. :-)

Summertime Fun....
As many of you know, taking photographs is one of my favorite past-times, even though i am by no means a professional. Whether it's people or nature, it is fabulously rewarding to me for some reason and this last winter/spring i was blessed with a really good camera, FINALLY! (courtesy of my fabulous husband!)
So i have been clicking away and i have to say one of my favorite subjects has been just plain candids of the kids having fun this summer. I love capturing their natural smiles and quirks. I have so many memories when i look at old photos and truly feel like i am transported back to that moment in time that it really is a way for me to capture all the love and joy and experiences and re-live them whenever i decide to look at the photos again. I love to look back on the pre-digital days at some of my photo albums of when we lived in Utah and Iman and Edy were just little babies. I remember how everything felt new and special and bright. To be a mother and all that, that meant and brought. When i look at those photos I remember also the three jobs John had while in college and the day spent looking for fun while he was at school, and Sunday drives into the canyon. I remember then our home in Pennsylvania and how i adored our sweet neighbor and friend Angel and the experiences we had with her like birthday parties, Halloween (her favorite holiday) and when she joined the church and went to the temple for the first time. :-) I remember Wilford, and what a pain in the butt of a dog he was, but how much the kids adored him. I remember being supported and feeling loved by my old friends from high school coming to my kids birthday parties and showing my husband where i grew up in New Jersey. I remember so much.
In the last couple of years i have tried my hand at nature, particularly plants and flowers........My father is a fantastic photographer that jokes that people should not be subjects in photos, and so i think this is partly why i was motivated to find another love to shoot. I have come to LOVE all the beauty around me each day. I am more aware of how we live in a truly amazing world, full of beauty. Even in the smallest supposed weed to the most magnificent sunset, what the Lord has given us is really breathtaking. I have to admit though it seemed easier to have opportunities when we lived in East Tennessee to find those shots i am talking about. I am sure there are places in the Nashville area too, but i have just not spent the time or gas to look. I hope to go camping at least once this summer with the family to get some new shots and of course some regular ones to of my darling family, who will always be my favorite subjects. :-)
I am truly grateful for the invention of the camera, it is truly fantastic! :-) Anyhow, here a few of my summer shots so far.......
p.s. there is a hand full in here that John took too....he's a pretty good shot too. :-)
