Making an Animated Movie for Family Home Evening...

Iman created the green guy, Edy the orange girl, and Sarah the ball.

Listening to instructions about how to introduce the movie...

Getting ready to film...

LOVE the look on his face as his Daddy give directions about
what to do next...

Annihilation!

For Family Home Evening tonight we decided to do something different and the kids came up with a fun idea to make their own playdough movie. John recalled his time a few years ago when we lived in Utah, when he was the Weblos leader and made animated movies with the Weblos. He showed the kids how this was done and they made the characters and told John what they wanted to have happen. So, John being the director, moved the playdough people and then filmed it all step by step, just like Wallace and Gromitt. Immanuel asked me as i put him to bed tonight if i thought it would make it to the big screen. I replied that i didn't think it would, but that it was really cool and we all had a lot of fun, (especially dad and the kids as i was more of an observer). Anyway, so here are the pics from the event. Oh and the story was that a boy (green guy) kicked a soccer ball at the girl's (orange guy) head and her eyes popped off as did her hair. The ball then bounced back towards the boy and penetrated is stomach which then exploded. Fun fun night!

It's not fun to be sick...

So we are all sick here at the Morgan house. Not sure if it's allergies as we are surrounded by hay fields that all just got cut (the Dr. I saw today thinks it is), but on the flip side we all have fevers too so...??? Anyway a house of cranky sick people is not a lot of fun, however medicine does take the edge off. Poor little Sarah seems to have it the worst, but has had the opportunity to nap pretty much where ever she had laid her sweet little head. She fell asleep on my bed while whining about being "hot". I was on the computer and all of a sudden i hear her snoring! Immanuel and Eden are doing the best I think and occupied themselves quite well as they were creative enough to build an alien city out of play-dough and a play dough ball-pit for Jack too! Tonight is still Thursday Night Movie Night and we are watching Penelope, a movie about a girl with a pig nose, who decides she likes herself the way she is, a good one of girls to watch I think. We are not our bodies! :-) John came home early from work as he's also feeling poorly, so i think we're off to watch a movie and have an early night!

Why is Being Naked So Liberating?

Well here he is, Jack-a-lope, all dressed up in his birthday suit. It happens every time he asked to sit on the potty. He calls it his bath and insists on stripping down. Never a dull moment at
The Morgan's!

Sensational Summer Sprinklers

At the beginning of May we had some warm days and Eden, being a water-bug, begged me to get her a sprinkler. I said no, and she had a fit and then we decided to make a deal. I told her to do some chores and save her money and if she made enough for half the cost of the silly sprinkler she wanted, I'd put the other half of the money towards it. Eden is a pretty motivated person when there's a reward and so within a couple of days she'd worked enough (even did some yard work for our friends) and we went to Wal-Mart and got her sprinkler. The kids had a blast and I was surprised that the sprinkler wasn't way cheesy and actually put on a good show for them. They got good and wet and plenty cold by the time they were done. Eden even convinced Jack to go through with her, which I was mightily impressed by, although he only let her do it once.
