John has promised Eden that he would take her out on a date if she tried really hard not to have an attitude with either of us for a week (she's been a bit whiny as of late). Eden tried really hard, and actually did quite well and so Saturday evening the night before Father's day Eden and John went out.
Eden got to pick what she wanted to do, and after she realized that the rock climbing gym was in Knoxville and didn't want to make the hour drive to get there she settled on seeing Karate Kid at the movie theatre and then dinner at Dairy Queen.
She came back that night very late (about 10pm or so i think) BUT very happy. It was so fun to see the look on her face as she walked in the door with her daddy and her purse on her shoulder. She was all smiles and came up to me and gave me a big hug and said that she had SOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun. She was like, "MOM, i can't stop smiling!" It was really cute and she was so smiley you'd think she'd just been proposed to!
What a fantastic day to pre-celebrate Father's! John you are an amazing father! I am so glad to be married to a man who loves his children and spending quality time with them. Next month Immanuel and I are planning on doing the same. ;-)
