Mother/Son Date.....

It was FINALLY Immanuel's turn to go out on a date! :-) (He only "reminded" me like 15 times that day that we were indeed going).

So Saturday night we both went to dinner at King Buffet (which we both love). We laughed our heads off at Immanuel trying to use chopsticks correctly as the waitress laughed along with us as she was the one trying to help Immanuel get the hang of it. Eventually he just opted to stabbing his food with the chopstick. Yummy Chinese food was followed by Immanuel's buffet dessert choice of: orange Jello (he snuck that on there and yes i did concede to that small amount of food coloring for his date), vanilla pudding, and vanilla ice-cream with hot fudge...don't worry he only finished the Jello and managed just a few bites of the other things. Immanuel tried to convince me that the host of the restaurant was the same guy that was a dancer for High School Musical....some how i don't think so. ;-)

Then we window shopped in Wal-Mart to kill some time before our movie started. He was pretty good about showing me all the things he wanted for Christmas.

Then we were off to see Megamind in 3D and Immanuel got his own popcorn, it was great! After the show i took him to that new store Roses in the mall (which i quickly learnt was like a GIANT Dollar General.) He was excited as he got a new coat which was bright blue just like Megamind! ;-)

The best part for me though was the conversation. Anyone who knows Immanuel, knows he's quite a talker, but this time as he didn't have anyone to compete with, it was a most pleasant experience. I was struck with the overwhelming sense of how brilliant of a mind he really has. He is SO imaginative, SO creative, SO easy to talk with. He's charming and funny and he is always thinking about things. I hope he never changes.

Another favorite part was listening to Maroon 5 in the car and watching is little (or not so little any more) feet dangling in the front seat bopping to the music...boy does this guy have rhythm!

I LOVE him!

All about John & Nicola

Well, John is the extremely handsome red-head, of course, and I'm the little one in front of him! John is a marriage and family therapist and I am a domestic engineer as well as a dental hygienist. We met in June of 2000, were engaged by the very end of September 2000, and were married December 16th 2000. We have four lovely children as you can see below and love life and all that it has brought and taught us! We love to talk, have friends over, cook and eat food, camp, and pretty much do anything as a family.

She is fun-loving and pretty much always wants her way (who doesn't) and 90% of the time it works out well as she's a good girl with righteous desires and is extremely responsible and mature for her age. However that 10% of the time where we actually don't agree on something, she can be a little devil! She is a huge help with Jack as these two are best buds! Jack likewise adores her and she is the only one out of his other siblings that he'll let parent him. Eden is also in the fifth grade and loves to read. She has a passion for horses and all animals really and also loves to cook and bake.
